The gun gallery, “la galería de las pistolas” invita a todos los creadores a participar dentro de la convocatoria: “F*ck Science”
Se recibira obra bajo las siguientes acotaciones:
1.- Podrán participar todos los creadores interesados sin embargo a los artistas que se encuentren lejos de la region deberan de hacerse cargo de sus propios gastos de envio. / Any artist interested can participate, however artists outside the region must take care of their own shipping fees.
2.- La tematica de la exposicion tiene que ver con la fantasia( no confundirse con Sci-fi ni Terror), en el sentido de aquella que se permite ser coherente por medio de la negacion y/o duda cuando la ciencia nos presenta respuestas a nuestras preguntas acerca de la realidad. La ciencia es un limite, la ciencia mata unicornios..f*ck science./ the theme of the exposition has to do with fantasy ( not to be confused with Sci-fi nor Terror), in the sense of that which allows itself to be coherent through negation and/or doubt to the answers that science gives us about our questions of reality. Science is a limit, science kills unicorns. F*ck science.
3.- La obra debera queda abierta en la amplia gamma de disciplinas artísticas ( pintura, fotografía, escultura, dibujo, grabado, serigrafía, arte sonoro, video, etc.) /Any kind of art can be submited ( drawing, sculpture, video, sonorous art,etc)
4.- Instalación, performance, readings y nuevas propuestas espaciales quedan a tratarse con el personal de la galería./installation, performance readings and new proposals will be treated with the gallery´s staff
5.- Los limites espaciales de la pieza preferentemente no deben sobrepasar 1m en cualquier dimension. Medidas que lo superen queda a tratarse con el personal de la galeria. / each piece shall not be more than 6 ft on any dimension.
6.- Se debera de cubrir una cuota de inscripción de $ 50.00 mn, por participante aceptado. /there is a submission fee of 50 pesos (about $3.50) for each participant that is accepted
7.- No existira un limite de piezas a presentar, sin embargo se realizara una curaduría bajo los criterios del comite a cargo./ /there is no limit to the pieces to submit but the show will be curated by the committee in charge
8.-La fecha limite de entrega de obra será el dia miercoles 25 de Agosto del 2010./ submission deadline is wednesday August 25th.
9.- La recepción de obra se llevará a cabo en the gun gallery, (previa cita por medio del correo de la galeria, somethingartsy@gmail.com) ubicada en Del Mesón y Calesa, Fracc. Del Portal. Y en el IADA, edificio Y3, oficina de coordinacion de Depto. de Artes.Con Guillermo Guiraga y Oscar Gardea / The reception will be at the Institute of Art, Architecture and Design (IADA) building Y3, second floor at the UACJ, Henry Dunant and Avenida Del Charro streets #610 and also at the gun gallery with previous apointment via e-mail (somethingartsy@gmail.com)with Guillermo Guiraga and Oscar Gardea.
10.- Todas las obras presentadas, deberan incluir ficha técnica y especificaciones de montaje. / All works should have technical information and mounting instructions
11.- La obra seleccionada sera expuesta en the gun gallery, la galeria de las pistolas. El día viernes 27 de agostodel presente año./ the work selected will be exhibited at The Gun Gallery august 27th of this year
